Geminids 2004 - Introduction
DMS Geminid Expedition 2004 to the Kahler Asten, Winterberg, Sauerland, Germany


A Great Display from Kahler Asten Mountaintop at 841 meters altitude near Winterberg, Sauerland in Germany about 200 kilometers east of the Netherlands. Well above the cloudlayer which setteld over most of Europe :-()

Daniel van Os (www.meteoren.net) developed a program named "Meteoracle" which is very usefull to compute the ZHR profile for a given date taking sun, moon and radiantaltitude into account. At DMS Daniel's program is used by almost everyone. Below the expected ZHR-profile for the Geminids 2004 is presented based on DMS-showerdata:
