DMS-members observing the Leonids 2000


Below you will learn about the weatherconditions at 16/17 and 17/18 november in the Netherlands and Belgium and in Portugal and Spain, the locations where DMS-members observed the Leonids 2000. Compare these images to the series of weatherbulletins produced by Jacob Kuiper.

Please note we observed the Leonids under very fine cloudless skies!
Only some very small cloudpatches are left in the western part of the country after the passage of the coldfront which is now situated above western Germany.

Please note some parts of the country were clouded out but not all!

Please note observers in southern Portugal experience fine Leonid weather conditions.
Observers located in the south-western part of Spain too have fine observing weather but the south and eastern part of Spain is still covered by clouds.

Now the southern half of Portugal and Spain is clear but some cloudpatches still remain.
