Geminids 1996: Videoresults of Marc de Lignie
DMS-members observing the Geminids 1996
From Leidschendam Marc de Lignie made video recordings from 20h until 5h UT.
A first impression of four hours of "monitor watching" during the actual shower indicates that about 200 meteors were recorded. A particularly nice sample of two Geminid meteors appeared at 23:03:33 UT. The two meteors were separated by just 10 seconds. In the MPEG movie below, the time between the meteors was cut to reduce the download time for you.
